Angelic

We just had to take these shots last night. All I could think of for captions (for all of them) is the following:
"Dear God, it's me Angel.
uh.... oops....
I mean ANGELA!"

Watermelons and Other Yummy Pics

Yet another wonderful visit with Gran and Grandpa. Warm day so we HAD to dress in our favourite Watermelon outfit.
Talk about a contemplative child. This pic of Angela below is the background on my laptop. I smile everytime I look at the picture.
Talk about the giggles! Yes, she smiles lots now. Not really laughing yet but this picture shows promise.
This kid is just gunning to put absolutely anything in her mouth. But she's not needing the vibration or the soothers nearly as much these days. (And yes... 6-7 hours of sleep a night - WAHOO!)
And what a cute picture of the two rosy-cheeked cuties. Grandpa and Angela. Nothing more needs to be said.

Celebrating Housework: small Tasks - BIG Effort

YEESH!!! It's amazing how much effort is involved in doing routine housework with an infant in the house. you have to time it just right as well as get things done in a finite amount of time. (Time between feedings is NOT negotiable from Angela's point of view).

Here I am celebrating reorganizing 1 cupboard in the kitchen. I decided that today, I would tackle the plastic containers cupboard by the dishwasher. This became priority #1 as I needed small containers (REALLY small) for formula powder to take on outings. I didn't realize until today how many containers we had. WOW! All recyclable. I had the opportunity to recycle a dozen containers AND got all the rest to fit into 6 stacks. BOO-YAH! Brassington pack-rat'ish-ness BE GONE! :)

You may think it sounds crazy to celebrate this but I am a firm believer in "If you celebrate the small stuff, the big stuff happens". This may seem incredibly small to many of you but to me, it's a big thing. So celebrate something today and share it with someone! (Any size will do).

My 1st Mother's Day

Admittedly, I didn't spend much time with my baby girl on Mother's Day. That is because I was attending Chorfest at UBC this weekend. ROCA (Richmond Chorus) was acting as a core choir for the conference. We performed our finale concert this afternoon at the Chan Centre. WOW! It was great! 350 voices all singing together. PHEW!

When I got home, we had visitors of Gran, Grandpa and Uncle Steve. What a nice visit. Was time to give Angela a flying lesson...
The other day, Angela seemed to want to get up close and personal with Ty the Tiger. She kisses him when she can...

Other times, she seems to want to bite his nose...

This is Angela showing that she still fits her "coming home" outfit. Belly-button showing and tongue sticking out. Too cute!

"Work Presentation" on Thursday

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of taking Angela to the office. Since this was her first presentation to many of our co-workers and friends, she HAD to be dressed up of course!

This is the only outfit I've bought for Angela. I couldn't help myself. It's a Minnie Mouse sundress with panties and a wrap-around ruffled sweater. Too cute. Notice the headband (or halo as I prefer to call it) with the bow. So little hair.

That night, we had her down on the floor playing at "Tummy Time". She started to suck the pillow. We were laughing so hard. Even the cat joined in.
