The Last Days of 2008

Christmas in this Webster family lasted well into 2009 and after Twelfth Night. That was thanks to the big snow.

We were very fortunate to have Mark and the cuzzies in from Calgary for a few days. All of us went to the Santa Train.

Then New Year's Eve was a night of Guitar Hero World Band with Robin, Lindsay, and Damian. And of course Angela on drums.

Next was the Brassington Christmas get-together. Auntie Dawn read the Gruffalo book to the "kids". Great-Auntie Anne-Marie was holding Angela when she just leaned over and waws completely engrossed in the book.

Then how could I pass up this pic. Over the holidays, Angela has learned to keep herself sitting up. She can't "sit up" yet but that's not far away.
Here is our little princess sitting with her perfect little dress around her like it was posed. Trust me, it wasn't.

We couldn't have a Brassingtons the Next Generation picture without all of the kids in one picture. So here we have Rich and Angela, Leiana and Matty, MaKayla, Dawn and Hayden, Sebastien, and Liz and her little one due any day/hour now.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and a great 2009.
Next on the blog list.... Something from the farthest East....

Angela's First Christmas

This year's Christmas was VERY different in so many ways. Usually Rich and I have like 4 places to be on the big day. This year was going to be different no matter what with Angela here. We still thought we had the 4 places to be. But instead, we had a White Christmas.

I don't think Angela (later in life) will believe us when we tell her that her first Christmas was a white one.

First though, our cousin Scott was getting married to Marizza the weekend before Christmas. Here is a pic of Lil'A and Daddy dressed to the nines for their grand attendance. Oh yes, ballet shoes and all.

Christmas morning was a great morning. We all went to mass (where I sang a duet with Jessica) and then back home because the snow was so much.

Lil's A opened her presents and gravitated to one in particular. A Fisher-Price Grand Piano from her Great-Auntie Sheila and her Great-Nan (Great-Great Grandmother). She has been playing in non-stop. It's funny, we are keeping Guitar Hero World Tour Band at our house until Sebastian and MaKayla are bigger. When we play, she plays the piano. Her favourite thing to do right now is turn the pages (since she turns the pages when we read her books). But just now, she's trying to play harmonica on the keys... Slobbery.

She even had helpers on Boxing Day when we had "Secondzies Christmas" with my family as Mark and the kids came in from Calgary. Sebastien and MaKayla were like Angela's Little Helpers.

We had a very full house. David and Michelle, Mark with Sebastien and MaKayla, Gramma, Angela with Mommy and Daddy and Packers of course.

Angela was so excited to open her gifts. One little tiny piece of paper at a time. In fact, the paper was more exciting than the presents to her I think.

We had a "Thirdzies Christmas" gathering at my Aunt's for the Brassingtons but I'll post that in a separate post.
Happy New Year everyone.
